Waffles
My mother's recipe. A christmas morning tradition, or just a nice thing to make for a loved one in the morning. I'll usually halve it (using 3 eggs).
Ingredients
- 5 large eggs, yolks & whites separated
- ½ cup oil
- 4 Cups Milk
- 4 1⁄2 Cups Flour
- 2 Tbsp Baking Powder
- 1⁄2 tsp Salt
Directions
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks.
Combine egg yolks, oil, milk, flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Stir gently with wire whisk until well blended. Let set for about 10 minutes.
Add eggs whites to flour/milk mixture and mix very gently until egg whites are mostly blended. A few fluffs of egg whites should remain.
