The World Player
Dungeon Game is a Blorb game and as the world player, you’re responsible for following its principles.
Blorb PrinciplesMissed Actions
If there’s something prepared to take advantage of the opening (an opponent, a trap, a hazard), the action is unsuccessful. Threaten them with a consequence (below) and ask their reaction.
Otherwise, they succeed, but you choose 1:
- make them spend focus equal to the difference
- wear down their equipment
Consequences
- mark fatigue
- suffer setbacks
- close off a course of action
- put them in a riskier position
- separate them
- introduce a complication
Resolving Ambiguities
As you play, questions will regularly come up about the specifics of how something works. Any decisions made are a group conversation with the World Player having the final call. Once made, everyone should make sure that the same answer will always apply.
